Roth Bakery Ice Box

The Ice box dates back to 1909 when the Berner Bakery stood at Liberty & Jefferson St. The doors are 4 inches thick, it was insulated with cork. After her husband died in 1929 Elizabeth Roth ran the bakery herself. Bernard Junior took over when she died in 1960. It finally closed in 1977.
