Ken Sereno Display

Ken Sereno is responsible for the new addition. He did all the planning and paid for it. This display tells the story of his retirement years as a local historian. He wore the suit when he wanted to be “in person” during his bus tours during Nostalgia Days. This is the computer where he compiled his historical articles in his basement with the red carpet. He ran around town with one of his notebooks in his pocket so he would not forget stuff. The painting on the wall is his welding shop which he opened in 1948 with his father and operated until 1963. It is where the I-80 overpass is no on north Liberty Street. It became his hardware store until he retired in 1996 and started researching local history.
