Bunny Mushro Painting

Mural of Broadway, Coal City done for the American Bicentennial in 1976. You are there back in the 1880s—old guy is sitting in front of Vota’s Saloon. Next door is the blacksmith hard at work at Boner’s Livery. Across the street there is a buggy parked in front of Coalfield Store Bunny Mushro was born and raised in Des Moines, IA. In 1950 she married Alfred Mushro in Des Moines and Alfred brought her back to Coal City where she worked in the Mushro Store, raised a family and painted landscapes
