Primrose Theater Lions

The Primrose Theater lions were part of the front entrance. The plaque was rescued when the building was torn down to make way for the Morris Library parking lot in 1990. J.B. Dawson built it as a modern theater and banquet hall that could seat 700 people, and was cooled by electric fans!

During the 1920s it also had a dance hall and skating rink.

In 1931 Jim Grenell moved his car dealership into the old Primrose Garage, so the old Primrose Theater became a car dealership between the 1930s to 1970s.
