Preserving the past to teach the future. Our mission is to collect, exhibit and education people about Grundy County history. Becoming a member of the Grundy County Historical Society makes us a vital portion of our operating budget, helping us to preserve our local history. Your membership includes access to the Grundy County Historical Society newsletter which is published quarterly. You also receive a copy of the Yearbook which contains a listing of members as well as upcoming events and programs.

Membership Application

The Grundy County Historical Society offers an Annual and a One Time membership option. The membership year goes from May 1st through April 30th of each calendar year. The Museum sends out renewal forms each April.

With the launch of the new website we are offering new and renewing members the opportunity to pay via the website. To cover the handling costs of credit cards, we will add an additional $3 to your membership cost.

You can always choose to renew via mail, or drop by to see us at the Museum.

Annual Membership
  • Individual – $25
  • Family – $30
  • Student – $10 up to age 18
  • Business Institution – $100
  • Not for Profit Organization (including Governmental Entities) – $25
One Time
  • Life – $250 per person, or $350 for husband and wife
  • Patron – $350 per person
  • Benefactor – $500 per person
